You can also take the Alanya Teleferik up to Alanya Kalesi from its base station near Damlataş Cave, which the Hotel is comfortably walkable or a very short bus ride. A view on the way up over Kleopatra Beach’s Coastline would leave visitors stunned by its beauty. At the top, there are some pretty good ruins of a castle wall to explore. Best time to go is late in the afternoon so you can see the sunset from there.

The best of which is availing yourself of the local ‘dolmuş’ (minibus) service. Quite cheap and very convenient, as they travel to all parts by these buses which run along the main road in front of the hotel. You can catch a dolmuş that goes straight to the main harbour for a night out, to the ‘Cuma Pazarı’ Friday Market for some teeming local flair, or to the Dim River for a long lazy lunch at one of the famous riverside restaurants.

While the all-inclusive is convenient, do not forget to step out into the local dining scene. Authentic and tasty meals can be found just off the main beachfront at a family-run ‘lokanta’ that serves traditional Turkish home-style food. Don’t settle for second-best: for that special evening, go to one of the numerous fine seafood restaurants by the ‘Kızıl Kule’ and old shipyard at the harbor.

Another refreshing activity is a visit to Dim Cave and Dim River, only a short drive up the mountain behind Alanya. This cave is a natural wonder of great beauty, and after visiting it, tourists can have lunch at one of the special restaurants built on platforms directly over this ice-cold river. There’s a big rush and this is one common and recommended way to get away from the hot temperatures at the coast during the summer. You can either book some cheap tour or take a local bus there.
